Description
Here’s a rare piece of pro football history! This could easily be one of the finest pieces of memorabilia in any sports fan’s collection – a football signed by the members of the Champion 1962 Green Bay Packers! The Packers entered the NFL Championship Game with a record of 13-1 (losing only to the Detroit Lions in their second meeting during the season) and defeated the New York Giants with a score of 16-7. This is an unused Official (Rozelle) Wilson football – with stampings “The Duke,” “Green Bay Packers” and “World Champions” – that is signed by more than forty members from the 1962 World Champion Green Bay Packers team. The black ballpoint scriptings project “8” strength and clarity. Signatures on this ball include those of both players and coaches, among them: Adderley, Austin (coach), Barnes, Bengtson (coach), Blaine (signed twice), Carpenter, Cochran (coach), Currie, W. Davis, Dowler, Fears (coach), Forester, Gassert, Gregg, Gremminger, Gros, Hanner, Hecker (coach), Hornung, Iman, Jordan, Knafel, Kostelnik, J. Kramer, R. Kramer, Lombardi (head coach), Masters, McGee, Moore, Nitschke, Pitts, Quinlan, Ringo, Roach, Skoronski, Starr, Symank, J. Taylor, Thurston, Toburen, Whittenton, H. Williams and W. Wood.
