Keith Hernandez Jersey Retirement CHROME SPLASH Baseball

The New York Mets are honoring one of their all-time great players this year by retiring the #17 jersey of Keith Hernandez. Hernandez was the cornerstone of the Mets last World Series championship in 1986 and was the first player in Mets history to be honored with the designation of team captain.

To honor Hernandez and his jersey retirement, we are proud to release this official Keith Hernandez Jersey Retirement Chrome Baseball. The ball is chromed in Mets blue using a labor intensive 13-step process. The ball is then laser engraved with his #17 jersey number and the date of his jersey retirement.
