They have defeated the Phillies to claim their 2nd World Series Championship in franchise history thanks in large part to the Postseason heroics of rookie shortstop Jeremy Pena. In the Divisional Series, Pena hit a solo home run in the top of the 18th inning in game 3 of the ALDS. The home run would prove to be the only run in the game and clinch the Division Series for the Astros. He followed it up with a memorable performance in the ALCS which earned him series MVP honors with a .353 average, two home runs, two doubles, 3 runs, and 4 RBI. In the World Series, he took home MVP honors yet again, becoming the first rookie positional player to win World Series MVP honors.
