The first Championship Game played Jan. 15, 1967, between the NFL and old AFL featured the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs in what would later be known as Super Bowl I. This game was the start of what would become an annual tradition of great football contests played by the best the game has to offer, year in and year out. This special commemorative ball is just the piece of pro football history that collectors and fans alike will seek to display in their home or office. The list of legends that took the field that day in Los Angeles – for both teams – is long and notable. One panel features the wording, “First World Championship Game AFL VS NFL Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum January 15, 1967. The ball also includes the words, “Made by Wilson” and carries the facsimile signature of Pete Rozell.
